In My Mailbox (10)

IMM is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren!

Last week I bought zero books. Nada. And went on a book buying ban. That lasted about four days ;) I have gotten some great books this week and something I've been dying to have.....

Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 3G Works Globally, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology
A Kindle!

Loving it go far. It has some not-so-great things, but I'm a fan. I'll do a review over when I'm more comfortable using it.

From Net Galley:

The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles) Starcrossed

The Girl in the Steel Corset  by Kady Cross (I was debating which book to start reading, but Kady tweeted me and offered me a cupcake, so I'm a little ways into this book. So different from anything else I've read, mysterious, but in a good way)
Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini (A retelling of Helen of Troy---this mythology trend can continue forever as far as I'm concern)

From S & S Galley Grab:

We'll Always Have Summer Incredibly Alice

We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han (I finished this on Friday night. Still processing it. I didn't realize I was so attached to these characters until after I finished it. Loved it)
Incredibly Alice by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (ALICE! Oh how I love this girl. Naylor will be wrapping up this 20+ book series that I've been reading since elementary school soon. I'm going to relish each word.)

Bought:

City of Bones (Mortal Instruments) BloomabilityHush, Hush

City of Bones (Mortal Instruments) by Cassandra Clare (A great used copy for $4.95. It was Cassandra Clare Week! I couldn't resist)
Bloomability by Sharon Creech (My absolute favorite MG book. Did a ReRead post on the blog earlier this week on this book.)
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (One of my coworkers just finished this and recommend it to me. Also a great bargain at Walden's)

No library books this week but I have an amazing wait list there :)

That was my mailbox...what's in yours?

  9. Oh! Oh! Oh! I love Helen of Troy stories and had no idea that Starcrossed was about that lovely lady!! I will def have to look for it. Or a review of it. Or actually maybe I'll ignore all reviews in favor of the epic Troy-ness. So glad I stopped by your blog! Thanks :)

p.s. I did enjoy Hush, Hush quite a bit. It was pretty sexy if a little frustrating (to me) at times. Plus, I love the fallen angel trend, and both City of Bones and Hush, Hush use very unique angel mythologies. So cool to compare!
